As part of Tabor Academy’s ongoing efforts to provide excellent programs and facilities for academic year students and summer program participants, the Academy will undergo a major renovation of its dining facilities during summer 2017. This is an exciting time for us here at Tabor, but obviously this plan will have an effect on how the Tabor Academy Summer Program will run its meal programs. During the renovation, Flik Dining Service will run a condensed kitchen and serve a limited menu to a smaller number of people in TASP’s residential program. As always, they will be able to accommodate any residential camper with dietary needs and/or restrictions.
The Tabor Academy Summer Program is excited to announce our partnership with Smart Lunches™ to provide healthy lunch options for our day campers. The cost of the service is included in TASP registration fees, and parents will order their campers lunch online for the entire week, the Monday prior. Meals will arrive in specialty constructed, eco-friendly packaging that keeps hot items hot and cold items cold with minimal environmental impact. Their in-house chefs and nutritionists create varied lunch menus filled with tasty main dishes, sides, snacks, soups and drinks. Their recipes are all 100% nut-free, nutrient-dense, and served in portion sizes appropriate for children of several different age groups. They also provide options for campers that have special dietary needs and will have the following allergy filters in place through their ordering system. We will send parents of day campers information on how to set up their account with Smart Lunches™ , prior to the start of camp.
