Tabor Summer Camp Activities

Summer is meant to be fun, and Tabor Summer Camp offers a wide range of engaging activities designed to get campers moving, creating, exploring, and trying something new.

Across Tabor’s 85-acre seaside campus and Sippican Harbor, campers may play, swim, act, create, compete, kayak, and more all while taking advantage of many of the same outstanding facilities used by Tabor Academy students. These include our athletic center, visual and performing arts spaces, classrooms, marine science facilities, tennis courts, playing fields, turf facilities, and waterfront. With Sippican Harbor right in our backyard, the water is an important part of the Tabor summer experience.

Whether campers are returning to a favorite activity or trying something for the first time, our goal is to create an active, supportive, and memorable summer by the sea.

Activity selection is only required for campers enrolled in Tabor Summer Camp (TSC) Half-Day or Full-Day programs.

  • Half-Day TSC Campers: Rank 5 activity choices; 3 will be scheduled.
  • Full-Day TSC Campers: Rank 8 activity choices; 5 will be scheduled.

Signing Up and Choosing Activities:

  • Once enrolled, an Activity Selection Form will appear in your CampInTouch account under Forms & Documents.

  • Please list activities in order of preference, beginning with Choice #1. We do our best to honor activity requests; however, placement in specific activities is not guaranteed.

  • Grade restrictions are based on the grade campers will enter in Fall 2027.

  • Some activities require consecutive periods and may occupy more than one activity slot.

  • Ceramics requires enrollment in two consecutive weeks.

Important Notes:

  • Schedules are finalized the week before each session and are provided to campers on their first day.
  • Activities are non-competitive and beginner-friendly unless otherwise noted.
  • Water Activities and Ocean & Climate Institute: Campers must be comfortable in and around the water and must pass a swim test.
  • We are unable to accommodate requests for family members or friends to be placed in the same activities or day groups.
  • We strongly encourage campers to remain in their scheduled activities for the duration of their session. This allows them to build relationships with counselors and peers while continuing to develop their skills. Activity change requests may be considered after the first day in accordance with our Schedules and Change Requests policy.
  • Tabor provides all equipment needed for activities. Campers may bring personal equipment if it is clearly labeled with their name; however, personal archery equipment should not be brought to camp.
  • Activities are subject to change based on camper interest, enrollment, staffing, and the availability of qualified instructors.
  • Campers are responsible for their personal belongings. Tabor Summer Programs is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
